Resolution Recognizing Black History Month

UPDATE: Resolution was approved!

The Diversity Coalition sent a resolution to the SLO County Board of Supervisors proclaiming February 2023 as Black History Month in the County of San Luis Obispo. The county has not recognized this month so far, so we are hoping to make sure that this resolution is approved, even if it's on the last day of Black History Month.

The resolution is set to be included in the Consent Agenda (see item #10 in agenda) of the February 28 Board of Supervisors Meeting. Yes, TOMORROW.

The meeting starts at 9am at the County Government Center. Opportunity to provide public comment will be available and is encouraged! Let us know if you are planning to attend.
